I love self-help books. It would be wrong to credit them solely for my ascent into Architect of Efficiency, but they certainly played a huge role in modifying my mindset to allow me to become the businesswoman I am today. I’ve read all sorts, from titles covering the recovery process from narcissistic abuse, to tomes guiding me through the process of how to just be myself. It is truly fascinating to read the perspective of others when it comes to personal dilemmas, and I never consider a book a waste as long as I take away just one thing that I can apply to my life to make it a tiny bit better.

At the moment, I’m sharing tips and advice on how to sculpt the perfect morning routine. I have read not one, not two, but 4 excellent titles that helped me makeover mine, with phenomenal results. If you want these results too, here are the titles you absolutely cannot miss.

The 5am Club by Robin Sharma

The 5am Club is slow to start, and at the beginning I was like “what am I listening to and why is this part important because it doesn’t sound important.” Honestly Sharma, you almost lost me. But, I’m glad I stuck with it. The 5am Club encourages rising at 5am, and dedicating the first hour of your day split between three activities using the 20/20/20 method.

The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod

The Miracle Morning is one of my personal favourites. I don’t follow this to the letter, but my personal morning routine draws heavily on the elements detailed by Hal, known as the Life S.A.V.E.R.S. You can do all of the Life S.A.V.E.R.S in about 60-90 minutes depending on your personal preferences, and they are a recipe for an excellent day!

 Atomic Habits by James Clear

From the moment I picked this up, I identified with what James had to say. Like him, I too have had a lot to overcome in my life, and his system of setting good habits, breaking bad ones, and creating systems to make your goals achievable by simply being 1% better every day….it just made sense.

What the Most Successful People Do Before Breakfast by Laura Vanderkam

In this nice, digestible book, Laura talks about three things that the most successful people do, you guessed it, before breakfast. But it surprised me! The key is NURTURE. Nurturing yourself, your relationships, and your career. It really resonates with my ‘lead with love’ approach.

Each of these books plays a role in my own personal morning routine, which I do every single day, including weekends, to make sure I’m getting the best start to my day. Get yourself in on the action. To purchase any of these books, simply click the titles above.
